This was a wonderful addition to the Shifter Date Series. We got a glimpse of Luke in the previous book Shifter Date: Must Love Lions. Luke and Jaz have that life long friendship that's always meant more but neither act on it. When they decide to take chance will the Power Shift destroy their new feelings? Will Jaz's brother Theo approve of their relationship or will it crash and burn from his anger?Alma Black is definitely a 1 Click author. I don't even need to read the blurb to know I'm going to enjoy her book.

Jasmine has had a crush on her big brother's best friend most of her life. She is a lion shifter. Luke is a wolf shifter. Luke has secretly yearned for Jasmine, but neither want to hurt Jasmine's brother. Things change when big brother is out of town for several weeks and both Jasmine and Luke signup for the shifter dating app. But, there is a group who does not want the species to mix, not with other types of shifters and not with humans. The shifter is about to hit the fan! Good storyline and characters. And I really liked Jasmine's best friend Rachel. I hope we hear more about her in future books.
This is the second story in this series. It involves Theo’s best friend, a wolf shifter named Luke who was a known player and Jasmine, who is Theo’s sister. They both share a very mutual attraction but both are reluctant to act on it for fear of losing Theo’s trust. While Theo is away on his honeymoon, they hook up and try to keep things in perspective but with Power Shift still lurking about and causing trouble, the one thing that they each know is that together, they are safer and stronger. I look forward to more stories in this series. They mimic real life in ways that a lot of shifter stories I’ve read don’t.
Luke and Jasmine sitting in a bar----and that's where the "fun" (!!!??) begins. Luke is best friends with Max (see Must love Lions) and Jasmine is Max's little sister. Ok I'm sure you can see where this is going----the do not touch family rule doesn't last long.. The love adventure these two face comes with lots of plain adventure---the kind in which you try to stay alive. I will say that the scene I looooooooooooooved the most was where Jasmine oh so not so kindly tells off her big brother!!! You go girl!!!!
This is a great follow up book and a must to read.
Miss Black please continue with this series!!! I so enjoy it!!
** spoiler alert ** Being held back by friendship with her brother for years, Luke has not told Jasmine how he feels about her. When they run into each other in a club, it is a blessing in disguise. After being paired together through the shifter dating app, both decide to take the chance and see where it goes. When darkness looms, will they be able to band together? Will Jamine's brother approve of their mating?
Just like the first, I loved this story and read all of the books straight through. I cannot wait for more to be added to this series. I loved Luke's dominance stance, even though he knew that Jamine could handle herself, he was determined to protect her. When it came to them fighting together he was right there with her. Loved it!
5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
Calling all PNR fans (and everyone else)!!! If you have not read the Shifter Date series, whatcha waiting for? I'm loving this series. It's different. It's surprising. It's sexy. It's fun. It'll keep you swiping pages. The whole friends to lovers plot is common but there is nothing common about the storyline.
Luke and Jasmin's story was filled with palpable sexual and emotional tension. And when they finally gave in to each other, it was animalistic (pun most definitely intended).
PNR is not high on my reading list but Alma Black has put herself on it and I look forward to reading what comes from her next.
Jasmine wanted Luke ever since she was little. He is her brother's best friend though and she knew that he was an untouchable dream. Little did she know that Luke has also a thing for her, but he doesn't dare to risk his friendship with Theo. But now they are grown ups and her brother is on his honeymoon, should they go for it? Especially when Shifter, the dating app shows them that they match?

I love romance stories with the brother's best friend. It's probably one of my favorite tropes, so when I read the synopsis from this one, I couldn't help but read it. I liked the romance and the back and forth between Jasmine and Luke, but what I wanted to see was less sex and more about the brother's reaction when he found out. Maybe that's just me, but I always expect some kind of drama or at least more hesitation because of it. Still I would recommend this series to people who love shifter romance )
This was my first Alma Black story, and won't be my last. It was a highly enjoyable, short read. If you love paranormal stories, this is a great story to try! It's part of a series, definitely standalone, and I look forward to reading more in the series.
This story is about Luke and Jasmine. Jasmine is Luke's best friend's little sister, so it's seen as taboo. They're also different types of shifters, him wolf and she lioness. Both have some really intense hots for the other (after pining for so long), so when they finally find a reason to get together, they're all over each other. A lot. Mmm it was sizzling and hot! Jasmine is capable in a fight, and so Luke, which is great for when they're together.
Overall, it's a cute little story with just a dash of action/suspense for the plot, with healthy helpings of friendship and desire mixed in. The story moves quickly, is well-written with few grammar mistakes, and introduces you to a modern paranormal world with smartphones and dating apps. If you're looking for a quick, fun read and live paranormal romance, I highly recommend this book!
